Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thai Girl by To Ngoc Van was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,371.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by To Ngoc Van achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 9,125,000.00 (€ 1,044,353.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Thai Girl von To Ngoc Van wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.371,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von To Ngoc Van erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.125.000,00 (€ 1.044.353,75).
