Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La maison pres de la riviere (The House Near the River) by To Ngoc Van was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,238.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by To Ngoc Van achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 9,125,000.00 (€ 1,044,353.75).

Die Arbeit La maison pres de la riviere (The House Near the River) von To Ngoc Van kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.238,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von To Ngoc Van erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.125.000,00 (€ 1.044.353,75).
