The work LE SONGE DU LENDEMAIN (DREAM OF THE FOLLOWING DAY) by To Ngoc Van was worth HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,965.29) to a buyer in May 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by To Ngoc Van achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 9,125,000.00 (€ 1,044,353.75).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von To Ngoc Van erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Désabusées (Disillusionment) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.125.000,00 (€ 1.044.353,75).
