Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Timur Novikov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2015. In the Russian Art auction, the work Sword sold for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 44,510.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Timur Novikov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tank Attack sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Timur Novikov erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Sword für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 44.510,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Timur Novikov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tank Attack im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 82.430,58).
