Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oscar Wilde by Timur Novikov was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,004.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Timur Novikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tank Attack in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oscar Wilde von Timur Novikov wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.004,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Timur Novikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tank Attack im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 82.430,58).
