Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A set of three photographs from The Forgotten Mysteries of Time series by Timur Novikov was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,751.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Timur Novikov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tank Attack in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A set of three photographs from The Forgotten Mysteries of Time series von Timur Novikov kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.751,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Timur Novikov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tank Attack im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 82.430,58).
