This artwork by Till Gerhard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2009. In the Post-War & Contemporary ArtDay Sale auction, the work Waldrand sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,186.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. This high result makes Waldrand the most expensive artwork by Till Gerhard that we have observed at auctions so far.
