Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work “Heaven and Earth” by Till Gerhard was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 5,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,500.00 (€ 335.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Till Gerhard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waldrand in February 2009 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,186.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit “Heaven and Earth” von Till Gerhard im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.500,00 (€ 335,37) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Till Gerhard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waldrand im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.186,70).
