Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thorvald Niss could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work Scenery from Naples with a view towards Vesuv changed hands for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 2,010.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thorvald Niss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 6,500.00 (€ 5,680.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thorvald Niss konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wechselte die Arbeit Scenery from Naples with a view towards Vesuv für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 2.010,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thorvald Niss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 6.500,00 (€ 5.680,83) versteigert wurde.
