Auction result fails to reach estimate
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Forest scenery by winter time by Thorvald Niss for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 536.49). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 6,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thorvald Niss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 6,500.00 (€ 5,680.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Forest scenery by winter time von Thorvald Niss für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 536,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thorvald Niss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 6.500,00 (€ 5.680,83).
