Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Yeo could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Landscape changed hands for HKD 16,575.00 (€ 1,835.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Yeo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airborne in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,698.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Yeo konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 16.575,00 (€ 1.835,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Yeo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airborne im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.698,61).
