Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Landscape by Thomas Yeo. The price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,613.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Yeo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Airborne, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,698.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Thomas Yeo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.613,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Yeo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Airborne beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.698,61) versteigert wurde.
