Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Banditti Playing Cards Amongst Ruins by Thomas Wyck for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,264.87). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Wyck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 136,348.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Banditti Playing Cards Amongst Ruins von Thomas Wyck für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.264,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Wyck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 136.348,09).
