Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The Courtyard Of An Italian House, Perhaps A Tavern by Thomas Wyck for EUR 17,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Thomas Wyck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 136,348.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Courtyard Of An Italian House, Perhaps A Tavern von Thomas Wyck für EUR 17.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Wyck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 136.348,09).
