Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Pictures and Old Master Drawings, which included the work An Alchemist by Thomas Wyck. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,784.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Wyck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 136,348.09).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Pictures and Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Alchemist von Thomas Wyck zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.784,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Wyck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, Venice im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 136.348,09).
