Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I, which included the work Tokyo National Museum by Thomas Struth. Here, the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 529,200.00 (€ 496,714.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Struth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pantheon, Rome, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 1,810,000.00 (€ 1,646,352.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
