Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe, West Scotland changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 870.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foot of Loch Katrine, Perthshire in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,962.50 (€ 14,177.09).
