Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Luny could be acquired at Bonhams in London in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Marine Sale auction, the work Fisherfolk with their catch on a foreshore changed hands for GBP 765.00 (€ 912.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Luny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle Of Copenhagen, 2Nd April 1801 in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 130,083.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Luny konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Marine Sale wechselte die Arbeit Fisherfolk with their catch on a foreshore für GBP 765,00 (€ 912,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Luny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Battle Of Copenhagen, 2Nd April 1801 im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 130.083,88).
