Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Fisherfolk on the shore by Thomas Luny. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,531.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Luny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle Of Copenhagen, 2Nd April 1801 in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 130,083.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fisherfolk on the shore von Thomas Luny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.531,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Luny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Battle Of Copenhagen, 2Nd April 1801 im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 130.083,88).
