The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,837.29), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Luny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle Of Copenhagen, 2Nd April 1801 in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 130,083.88).
