Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Lucop could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime Art auction, the work Mount Orgueil Castle, Jersey, at sunset changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,077.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Lucop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light airs at dusk, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,585.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Lucop konnte im November 2012 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maritime Art wechselte die Arbeit Mount Orgueil Castle, Jersey, at sunset für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.077,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Lucop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light airs at dusk beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.585,88) versteigert wurde.
