Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Locher could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Open House auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,137.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Locher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1-25 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,627.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Locher konnte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Open House wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.137,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Locher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1-25 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.627,31).
