Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Somerscales could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Crossing The Straits Of Magellan changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,329.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Somerscales have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of The Port And Bay Of Valparaíso, Chile in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 254,500.00 (€ 200,488.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Somerscales konnte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
