Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 510.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A crowded exchange; and Guildhall - Installation of the Lord Mayor (both illustrated) in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,367.76).
