Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Springtime Indolence by Thomas H. C. Tan. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,234.22), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas H. C. Tan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beyond The Hedge; Autumn Meditation (Diptych), which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,877.43).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Springtime Indolence von Thomas H. C. Tan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.234,22) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas H. C. Tan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beyond The Hedge; Autumn Meditation (Diptych) beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.877,43) versteigert wurde.
