Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Henry Crispe of Catton (B.1687), Bust-Length, In A Blue Velvet Coat And Gold Embroidered Waist-Coat, In A Feigned Oval by Thomas Frye was sold in the Old Master & British Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,709.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Frye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman; And Portrait Of A Lady in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 49,772.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Henry Crispe of Catton (B.1687), Bust-Length, In A Blue Velvet Coat And Gold Embroidered Waist-Coat, In A Feigned Oval von Thomas Frye wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & British Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
