In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Relating The Perils Of A First Long Cruise: "She Lov'D Him For The Dangers He Had Pass'D" by Thomas Brooks. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,133.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00.
