Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Relating The Perils Of A First Long Cruise: "She Lov'D Him For The Dangers He Had Pass'D" by Thomas Brooks. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,133.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Thomas Brooks have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Relenting 'The Silence of Pure Innocence Persuades, Where Speaking Fails' (William Shakespeare, The Winter'S Tale) was auctioned for USD 79,000.00 (€ 50,745.12).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.133,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
