The price achieved of USD 14,340.00 (€ 11,250.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Brooks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Relenting 'The Silence of Pure Innocence Persuades, Where Speaking Fails' (William Shakespeare, The Winter'S Tale) in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 79,000.00 (€ 50,745.12).
