Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Sanctuary by Thomas Blinks for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,058.78). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Blinks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waiting For The Guns in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 564,000.00 (€ 417,159.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Sanctuary von Thomas Blinks für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.058,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Blinks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waiting For The Guns im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 564.000,00 (€ 417.159,76).
