Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby, which included the work Still life of a duck, a shrimp and a plate of oysters by Theude Grönland. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,838.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Theude Grönland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppies, Tulips And Roses In A Vase By Strawberries And Grapes On A Wooden Shelf in January 2013 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,483.95).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of a duck, a shrimp and a plate of oysters von Theude Grönland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.838,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theude Grönland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poppies, Tulips And Roses In A Vase By Strawberries And Grapes On A Wooden Shelf im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.483,95).
