Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work At The Circus by Therese Lessore. The price achieved of GBP 916.50 (€ 1,492.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Therese Lessore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Orchestra, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,859.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Circus von Therese Lessore zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 916,50 (€ 1.492,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Therese Lessore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Orchestra beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.859,51) versteigert wurde.
