Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in London held the auction The Collection of the late Lord and Lady Swaythling, which included the work Caught at last by Théophile Duverger. The price achieved of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théophile Duverger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blowing bubbles in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 30,550.00 (€ 34,426.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of the late Lord and Lady Swaythling durch, in der auch die Arbeit Caught at last von Théophile Duverger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théophile Duverger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blowing bubbles im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.550,00 (€ 34.426,41).
