Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French La Leçon & Le Chat: A Pair by Théophile Duverger. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,459.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Théophile Duverger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blowing bubbles, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 30,550.00 (€ 34,426.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French La Leçon & Le Chat: A Pair von Théophile Duverger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.459,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Théophile Duverger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blowing bubbles beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 30.550,00 (€ 34.426,41) versteigert wurde.
