The work Near Maple Durham on Thames; and On the Thames below Windsor by Theodore Hines was sold in the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in London in November 2001. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 881.25 (€ 1,402.35), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Theodore Hines have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eton College from the Thames in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,106.38).

Die Arbeit Near Maple Durham on Thames; and On the Thames below Windsor von Theodore Hines wurde im November 2001 in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.402,35) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodore Hines auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eton College from the Thames im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.637,50 (€ 12.106,38).
