Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Early summer in the trossachs; and By Loch Katrine by Theodore Hines. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,250.87). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodore Hines - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eton College from the Thames, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,106.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early summer in the trossachs; and By Loch Katrine von Theodore Hines zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.250,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Theodore Hines mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eton College from the Thames beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 7.637,50 (€ 12.106,38) versteigert wurde.
