Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work By Katrine's Margin, the Trossacks by Theodore Hines. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,265.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Theodore Hines have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eton College from the Thames in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,106.38).
