Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Theo Wolvecamp. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 13,750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theo Wolvecamp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 33,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Theo Wolvecamp zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 13.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Theo Wolvecamp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 33.600,00 versteigert wurde.
