Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Merry Wives of Windsor, Act III, Scene III by Matthew William Peters was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings auction at Christies in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,616.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew William Peters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Young Lady In A White Dress With Pink Bows, Seated At A Table, Reading A Book, which sold at auction in January 2013 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,808.01).

Die Arbeit The Merry Wives of Windsor, Act III, Scene III von Matthew William Peters wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.616,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
