Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matthew William Peters could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work Study Of A Girl Writing changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,776.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew William Peters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Young Lady In A White Dress With Pink Bows, Seated At A Table, Reading A Book in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,808.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthew William Peters konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Study Of A Girl Writing für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.776,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew William Peters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Young Lady In A White Dress With Pink Bows, Seated At A Table, Reading A Book im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.808,01).
