Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna and the Infant Baptist adoring the Infant Christ by The Master of the Fiesole Epiphany was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2000. The price achieved of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 44,254.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by The Master of the Fiesole Epiphany - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John The Baptist, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 102,500.00 (€ 139,280.11).

Die Arbeit The Madonna and the Infant Baptist adoring the Infant Christ von The Master of the Fiesole Epiphany wurde im April 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.850,00 (€ 44.254,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
