Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work The Lamentation with Saints Francis, Anthony of Padua, a Bishop Saint, Catherine of Alexandria and Sebastian by The Master of the Fiesole Epiphany. The price achieved of USD 119,700.00 (€ 111,545.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by The Master of the Fiesole Epiphany have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2007 the work The Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John The Baptist was auctioned for GBP 102,500.00 (€ 139,280.11).
