A top price for Thavorn Ko-Udomvit - as previously expected
The work Life...Still Life No.2 by Thavorn Ko-Udomvit was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,906.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Life...Still Life No.2 is the most expensive artwork by Thavorn Ko-Udomvit that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Life...Still Life No.2 von Thavorn Ko-Udomvit wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.906,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Life...Still Life No.2 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Thavorn Ko-Udomvit, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
