Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tess Jaray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Thorns 5 sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,133.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tess Jaray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lofty Grey in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,715.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tess Jaray erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Thorns 5 für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.133,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tess Jaray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lofty Grey im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.715,11).
