Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tess Jaray could be acquired at Bonhams in London in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Only Under a Dark Sky changed hands for GBP 2,231.25 (€ 2,460.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tess Jaray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lofty Grey in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,715.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tess Jaray konnte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Only Under a Dark Sky für GBP 2.231,25 (€ 2.460,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tess Jaray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lofty Grey im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.715,11).
