In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Muddy Waters by Terry Haggerty. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,685.93), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Terry Haggerty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scrape in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Muddy Waters von Terry Haggerty zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.685,93) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Terry Haggerty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scrape im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
