Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work To Be Titled (Group 3) by Terence Koh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,503.42). Admittedly, works by Terence Koh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Man/ Animal) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 157,000.00 (€ 100,899.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit To Be Titled (Group 3) von Terence Koh im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.503,42) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Terence Koh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Man/ Animal) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.000,00 (€ 100.899,74).
