Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (C45) by Terence Koh was auctioned at Bonhams in London in January 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 701.25 (€ 793.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terence Koh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Man/ Animal) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 157,000.00 (€ 100,899.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (C45) von Terence Koh im Januar 2021 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 701,25 (€ 793,02) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terence Koh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Man/ Animal) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.000,00 (€ 100.899,74).
