Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The World Is The Speed Of Fire, Cry Tears But They Still Turn To Silver by Terence Koh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,954.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terence Koh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Man/ Animal) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 157,000.00 (€ 100,899.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The World Is The Speed Of Fire, Cry Tears But They Still Turn To Silver von Terence Koh im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.954,01) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terence Koh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Man/ Animal) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.000,00 (€ 100.899,74).
