Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled Fold Painting VI by Tauba Auerbach for GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 250,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tauba Auerbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Fold) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled Fold Painting VI von Tauba Auerbach für GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tauba Auerbach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20).
