In April last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals, which included the work Otona ni Oyatsu-Omatsuri Bo-Banana (Snacks for adults. Festival stick banana (A)) by Taniguchi Natsuko. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,351.55), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Taniguchi Natsuko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing Children in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 247,500.00 (€ 20,375.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals durch, in der auch die Arbeit Otona ni Oyatsu-Omatsuri Bo-Banana (Snacks for adults. Festival stick banana (A)) von Taniguchi Natsuko zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.351,55) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Taniguchi Natsuko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing Children im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 247.500,00 (€ 20.375,80).
